What a text QR Code is good for

Share Wi-Fi

Paste the network name and password and let guests connect in seconds.

Passwords and keys

Avoid typing complicated characters on your phone — just point the camera.

Code snippets

Pass a function, a command, or a snippet to your phone without sending emails.

Long links

URLs with UTMs, tokens, or huge parameters become much easier via QR Code.

Privacy: where is my text stored?

Nowhere. The QR Code generation happens 100% in your computer's browser, using JavaScript that runs locally on your machine.

This means the text you paste is not sent to any of our servers, not saved to any database, and doesn't appear in any log. If you close the tab, the content is discarded.

You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads — the tool keeps working normally. It's the same privacy as using an offline calculator.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the QR Code expire?+
No. The QR Code generated here is static — it contains the raw text encoded in pixels. As long as the image exists, any reader can decode it. It doesn't depend on a server, doesn't expire.
Is there a character limit?+
Technically, the QR Code standard supports up to 4,296 alphanumeric characters. But we recommend up to 2,000 — beyond that the code becomes dense and hard to read on older cameras.
Does it work with emojis and accents?+
Yes. The QR Code is generated in UTF-8, supporting accents, special characters, and emojis. Just be aware that special characters take more space in the code.
Can I use it to share links?+
Of course. Paste the full URL and the generated QR Code will open the link directly when read by the phone camera.
Do I need to create an account or pay?+
No. The tool is 100% free and doesn't require signup. Our only monetization is non-intrusive ads on the side.
